New Architecture Students
Hello new UO Architecture Ducks!
My name is Michael Zaretsky and I am the Interim Director for the School of Architecture & Environment as well as the head of the Department of Architecture. We are thrilled that you are considering the University of Oregon for your architecture education. We know this is a huge decision and we are excited to get to know you and to answer any questions you may have about our programs.
This is a great time for UO Architecture and we have never been in greater need of great environmentally and socially responsive designers in our world. We recently had our annual career day and we had 40 firms and 90 representatives from across the country at the Eugene campus meeting with students and discussing the exciting state of the profession. We are always blown away by how many of of the firm representatives who visit are recent and not-so-recent graduates of our program. I hope you will be joining here and attending career day in the coming years.
